• Rectangular contrast lists.
Why choosing Vulkollan ® for your sheets?
Vulkollan ® is a polyurethane with exceptional mechanical properties and, for certain applications, still unmatched.
Semi-processed items in Vulkollan ® are employed to obtain a wide range of final products or components, which must resist to extreme mechanical stress.
Vulkollan ® provides greater work efficiency, increased durability and impact resistance. It was developed by Bayer. The use of special mixtures and an appropriate production process make Vulkollan highly resistant to mechanical wear.
Semi-processed items in Vulkollan ® can be further machined to obtain high-quality seals or plates: it can be turned, milled, drilled, cut with a water jet, sawn, stamped and wiggled with laser beams, grinding, etc., always without loss of its mechanical properties.
This allows to obtain complex shapes, even in small quantities, without building a dedicated mold.
What are the advantages of semi-processed items in Vulkollan ®, compared to rubber or thermoplastics products?
- High rebound resilience
- Suitable for high dynamic stress
- Extreme resistance at tear, wear and abrasion
- High fatigue strength
- Low deformation in long service life
- Very high load capacity
- Excellent adhesion to metal
Continuous operation in a dry environment up to 100°C, short-term operation up to 120°C.
Vulkollan retains excellent properties at low temperatures down to – 20°C.
