EXSTO Italia: the merger of three important companies

Cervellati - Emilgomma - Tecnotec
Historic brands for polyurethane casting and rubber molding

EXSTO Italia

In 2020, EXSTO Italia was established from the merger of 3 historical brands of the Italian landscape of rubber molding and polyurethane casting: Cervellati Srl, Tecnotec Srl, and Emil-gomma Srl. This union not only brings capitals and technical expertise together, but it also represents the collaboration of people with kindred business culture. One of the competitive advantages of the merger is sharing knowledge of different manufacturing techniques and processes.

Our divisions

Created in 1937 in Bologna, Cervellati acquired a deep knowledge in the manufacture of customised industrial parts in rubber, in solid polyurethanes – with also the licence to cast Vulkollan – and in polyurethane foam.

The company runs in-house several complementary operations also on behalf of his customers. Among these: die-cutting of rubber-coated fabrics and rubber sheets, sand-blasting of metal parts, lathe turning of rubber and PU.

Since the ‘90s, Cervellati has obtained the quality certification ISO 9001:2015.

Among the various fields of expertise:

  • Coating of heavy-duty wheels.
  • Solid polyurethanes and Vulkollan® casting.
  • R&D of recoil pads and shock-absorbers for rifles.
  • Compression and injection molding of industrial parts in rubber, of reinforced diaphragms, and rubber/metal vulcanisation.

It was founded in 2010 in Villanova Mondovì from the collaboration of two  hareholders with a long-term experience in the production, sale and consultancy of industrial parts in polyurethane, especially for the mining and extraction industries.

In June 2015, Tecnotec entered the EXSTO Group, empowering its international presence, thanks to the collaboration with the existing branches in France, UK, Brasil, Japan and in the USA.

Finally in January 2019, Tecnotec acquired Emil-Gomma, a company based in Modena with 35 years experience in the manufacture of industrial parts in rubber and polyurethane.

Among the various fields of expertise:

  • Coating of wheels and rollers for demanding applications.
  • Snow plow blades in rubber and polyurethane.
